Boutique Law LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales (Partnership Number OC416078) and its registered office is 29 Lincoln's Inn Fields London WC2A 3EG. Boutique Law LLP is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA Number 637710).  Boutique Law LLP’s members are Anand Doobay and Christina Russell and “partner” is used to denote a member of the LLP.

Boutique Law LLP (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides advice on the basis of our terms of business. No liability is accepted or responsibility assumed for advice given or services supplied to persons who are not expressly clients of Boutique Law LLP.

Boutique Law LLP is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”). The SRA Handbook 2011 sets out our professional and ethical obligations (including the SRA Code of Conduct and SRA Accounts Rules) and can be viewed at www.sra.org.uk. One of our partners is a barrister who has been called to the Bar of England & Wales and is regulated by the Bar Standards Board (“BSB”). We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by the SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules and will provide the details of our qualifying layer underwriter to clients on request.

We want to give you the best possible service. However, if at any point you become unhappy or concerned about the service we have provided then you should inform us immediately, so that we can do our best to resolve the problem. In the first instance it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns and we will do our best to resolve any issues at this stage. If you would like to make a formal complaint then you can request our complaints procedure. Making a complaint will not affect how we handle your case.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help you if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic. You can raise your concerns with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

The Legal Ombudsman can help you if we are unable to resolve your complaint ourselves. They will look at your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case.

Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

  • Within six months of receiving a final response to your complaint; and

  • No more than six years from the date of act/omission; or

  • No more than three years from when you should reasonably have known there was cause for complaint.

If your complaint relates to our invoice, you may also be entitled to apply to the court for an assessment of the invoice under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974.

Boutique Law LLP is registered for Value Added Tax (VAT number 267622288). If you have instructed Boutique Law LLP as an individual to act for you in your personal capacity  then, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a fourteen day cooling-off period during which you may decide to cancel your contract with us. If you expect us to provide advice and services during that fourteen day period but also wish to cancel your contract during that period, you agree that you will be liable for any fees or expenses chargeable for legal advice and services incurred up to and including the date of cancellation.
